Introduction to Mindfulness with Taylor Krcek Evans

Taylor Krcek Evans, PhD, LMSW specializes in self-care for children, adults, and families impacted by anxiety, stress, and disability. Taylor is trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and focuses on using mindfulness to direct awareness of thoughts, emotions, and the physical body to the present moment. Mindfulness meditation increases focus, decreases anxiety, decreases negative stress, increases memory, reduces chronic pain, reduces depression, increases productivity, and promotes emotional balance. This 8-Week Introduction to Mindfulness is directed at adults aged 18 and over who are interested in decreasing anxiety and stress by learning self-compassion and self-reliance using techniques such as: belly breathing, body scan, loving kindness meditation, attentive movement, and mindful communication. Discounts are offered for referrals from Thrive Integrative Medicine and Holistic Therapies & Consulting. **Pre-registration required. 

This 8 week course will be held on Monday evenings, 5:30-7:00, from January 11th-February 29th 2016.
